This is the Buck 184 2nd version. This is the 2nd version of Buck's greatest knife. The 1st version had the compass in the pommel. Buck realized early this was a bad idea, ( the compass was influenced by the metal), and quickly went to this version. The knife is used but still very nice. Comes with Silva 12 Compass and Emergency kit. The Paperwork and box are replicas, but they keep the kit together nice. The sheath is also used, but nice. Has the Buck pouch to house the compass. These are Heavy Duty, Vintage, Survival knives that seem to rise in cost and value every year. I am not an expert in these, but have had a few and will try and answer any questions. Please Don't be fooled into buying a cheap replica, that can be purchased for $40 under Ramster knife. These of course are not Buck and will never accumulate value. Thanks for looking.
